Personal

The short version: born in Floripa, grew up in Joaçaba and Porto Alegre, lived on my own from the pandemic on, and moved to Boston in 2024. Here's the longer one.

2006SBFL

I was born in Florianópolis, on an island in the south of Brazil. We didn't stay long.

2006SBJA

I grew up in Joaçaba, a small city in Santa Catarina. My dad traveled for work on a small regional airline that doesn't exist anymore, and watching his plane leave from that tiny airport is my first real memory of loving something. I've been obsessed with airplanes ever since.

2011SBPA

We moved to Porto Alegre. I studied at the Pan American School, an international school, which is where my English comes from. I competed in the Brazilian math and informatics olympiads (OBMEP and OBI), and I started playing a lot of tennis.

2020on my own

During the pandemic my parents moved to Florianópolis. I stayed in Porto Alegre by myself to finish high school. Living alone as a teenager made me independent early, and it's probably why I'm comfortable figuring things out on my own.

2021tennis

I started teaching free tennis lessons to kids from low-income families at the club where I trained. I kept doing it for five years, about 22 kids in total. Several of them compete now. More on that here.

2024a choice

I got into Embry-Riddle, the aviation university, with a scholarship. It was the obvious path for someone like me, and I said no. I decided aviation would be my passion and not my job, because I wanted to build something bigger in business and tech. I chose Boston College instead.

2024KBOS

I moved to Boston for Boston College, where I study finance and business analytics. In my first semester, at 18, I started my first company, ApplyIn. It didn't work, and it was the best class I took that year.

2025first jobs

I spent the summer at Primus Ventures, a VC fund in Florianópolis, reading pitch decks and writing memos. In October I answered a LinkedIn post asking which startup people would invest in. I named Ruvo, its CEO reached out, and I joined Ruvo part-time.

2026building

Full-time at Ruvo over the summer, where I built the prospecting pipeline. At the same time I built and launched MCPC for my mom's law firm. In September I started xp-flight-review, which is where aviation and software finally met.

2027next

I'm looking for a summer internship where I can build product, ideally at a startup and ideally in Europe. I'm Italian as well as Brazilian, so I can work anywhere in the EU. Long term, I want to build a company of my own.

Languages

Portuguese is my first language and I'm fluent in English. My Spanish is intermediate and I'm learning Italian, slowly but seriously.
